The mission of the Whitney Junior Wildcats is to be a player-centered program that emphasizes in the development of life skills and enjoyment for the game while providing training in the fundamental skills in football and cheer.
This sponsor program is a great opportunity for you to give back to the community. Your support and contribution is a tremendous investment in building strength in our community and will bring valuable opportunities to our youth.
Last year we had over 250 youth playing or cheering at five different levels. Because of the success we had last year, we are anticipating even more participants in 2010. Through our program, we stress character and excellence and teach the fundamentals of athletics, teamwork and sportsmanship.
In a tackle football program, the safety of the participants is directly related to the quality of the equipment used. In the ongoing effort to improve the quality of our equipment, this year we are reconditioning approximately 100 helmets. We are asking for your support to help us in this effort and to support other areas of the program such as facility use, insurance, equipment purchases, field maintenance, storage, officiating fees, administration supports, scholarships, and many other items. You may also choose to sponsor a child to cover their registration costs to participate. While all of the coaches and board members are volunteer and do not receive monetary compensation for their work, the program does have other costs that are paid by the registration fee paid by parents, fundraisers, and sponsors like you.
We had a great response from our community last year and are hoping to involve even more in this year’s campaign. As a community member, we are asking for your donation to help offset some of the costs for the program so that we can continue to offer a quality football and cheerleading programs at an affordable registration cost for those who want to participate. In return, we provide a unique opportunity to partner with the Wildcat family. Our sponsorships are designed to increase sales and grow brand awareness for your company.
